Nayi Asha means New Hope.

Nayi Asha means New Hope. In 2004 Nishtha Rural Health, Education and Environment Centre offered training in tailoring to village women who desperately needed a source of income to help sustain their families. As they graduated, Dr. Barbara worked with our trainer Maya Devi to develop a variety of bags which are both practical and beautiful. The group now has 6 members who are all skilled in creating a wide range of unique products for sale both in India and abroad.

Maya Bag

Details:

Our Maya bag is a delightful all-purpose bag with two shoulder straps which allow it to be neatly tucked under the arm for safety. Made of a carefully selected combination of Bhutanese plaids, and cotton silks and lined in sturdy handloom, this bag features two zippered panel pockets for small items and two built in side button down pockets, perfect for a small umbrella and a water bottle. We all love to use this bag!

Details:

Everyone needs one of our practical yet elegant Khadi cotton shoulder bags to take with them to the office. It happily holds a laptop and several files.
